:Does the starter click? Does it turn the engine and not start?
:It' usually not the starter. I'd start by wire brush cleaning the battery cables.the starter doesn't click at all. all the lights, gauges, and everything works and turns on. but the car just doesn't turn on when i turn the key. no noises or anything. but like i said, before i was able to get it to turn on by holding the key turned for possibly 10 seconds and it'd start. but now nothing.
